Last month, I had the immense privilege of organizing a wonderful initiative with the coordinators of U-Report communities in Benin. The 77 young U-Reporters, representing each of the 77 municipalities in the country, came together to renovate a four-classroom module in a General Education College in Cotonou. 🤩🌟
During this renovation, we repainted the building in the yellow and blue colors of U-Report, symbolizing the youth’s commitment to positive change. We also reinforced the roof and refurbished the blackboards for over 200 students. 💛💙
This collective U-Action was made possible through a capacity-building session organized by UNICEF. We acquired new skills in community engagement, advocacy, cybersecurity, information verification, and community feedback collection. We also discussed topics such as citizen mobilization and leadership. 🤝🕊
I would like to commend the individual commitment of each U-Reporter and the entire UNICEF Benin team. You are the best! 🤩✌️
With U-Report, UNICEF offers every young person the opportunity to actively contribute to positive change in their community. Join over 124,000 U-Reporters to create a better future for all young people in Benin together! 💙🌍
